two or three (2-3) hours before use.
Important Information
- The Elastomeric Infusion Device should be kept refrigerated.
- Remove the device from refrigerator 2-3 hours before use and allow to warm to room temperature for proper infusion rate.
- Do not use microwave, oven, or water to warm the fluid.
- Do not use this device while bathing, showering, or swimming.
- Do not reuse this device.

Check the medication label for your name, date and expiration date.
- Wash your hands.
- Flush your IV catheter as you’ve been instructed to do so.
- Remove the cap from end of elastomeric tubing and connect to the end of IV by turning clockwise.
- When the infusion time has passed and the balloon is no longer full, your infusion is complete.
- Close the clamp and remove the elastometic tubing from your IV catheter.
- Dispose of the device in an appropriate manner. (As instructed by your nurse).
- Flush IV catheter as instructed by your nurse.
