It can be used for several doses.
Your IV Tubing
This IV tubing will last 24 hours.
After Completing An Infusion:
- Disconnect the IV line from the patient and place a new red cap on the end of the IV tubing to keep it clean.
- Leave the IV tubing attached to the empty bag.
- When the next dose is due, remove the spike from the empty bag and place it in the new bag.
- Squeeze the drip chamber to allow fluid to flow in.
- Remove the red cap and discard.
- Prime the IV tubing with the new solution and hook up to patient.
